We are excited to announce that the official website for our upcoming international symposium, "Naturalistic Neuroscience: from perception to action and back," is now live!

📅 Date: May 28–29, 2026 📍 Location: University of Bonn, Germany

About the Symposium: In the real world, the brain faces a complex "closed-loop" challenge — sensory information shapes our actions, and our actions determine the sensory input we receive next. This event explores how naturalistic neuroscience bridges the gap between experimental control and ecological realism through novel neurotechnology and theoretical models.

  • Renowned Keynotes: Hear from distinguished experts, including Gareth Barnes, Karin Roelofs, Neil Burgess, Katja Reinhard, Georg Keller and Matthias Stangl.
  • Share Your Research: We are now accepting abstracts for short talks (15 slots available) and poster sessions.
  • Exclusive Facility Visits: Get hands-on insight into local neurotechnology and Virtual Reality (VR) facilities, including our VR lab here at CAIAN - Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Neuroscience at University of Bonn and the Movement Lab at Deutsches Zentrum für Neurodegenerative Erkrankungen (DZNE).
  • Networking: Connect with international specialists and regional researchers during our social dinner and poster sessions.

Register & Submit Today! Visit our new website to view the preliminary program, learn more about our speakers, and secure your spot.
